The new European Chemicals Law
REACH is the new European Chemicals Law and stands for Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals. It came into force on June 1, 2007.
The main aim of REACH is to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment, to improve the communication of information on handling chemical products and to preserve and enhance the competitiveness of the chemical industry in the European Union.
REACH requires a wide registration of about 30,000 existing substances in accordance with the transitional provisions of REACH. Under REACH, the manufacturer and/or importer bears more responsibility than before for evaluating the specific risk of its use presented by chemicals and for providing users with pertinent safety information.
Hebron is fully committed with REACH targets. Under REACH, Hebron assumes the role of manufacturer and downstream user (DU). As a manufacturer of chemicals, Hebron will have the substances of its marketed product portfolio registered as stipulated by REACH and will submit the required dossier to the European Chemicals Authority Agency (ECHA). For this purpose, we cooperate closely with our customers and suppliers, as our Organization target is to ensure the efficient implementation of REACH and close communication with our Partners.
Hebron has always made product safety a top priority, compliance with REACH is directly in line with our Mid Term Plan Goals.
